I had been suffering from Hashimoto’s disease and had a thyroidectomy. Things didn’t go well after surgery and I was very, very sick.
I couldn’t remember anything. My muscles were all cramping all the time. I felt horrible all the time. I couldn’t think. I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t stay awake. I felt horrible.
All these symptoms all at once, I didn’t think I would live very long. They kept getting worse and I felt so bad I didn’t think I would survive it. I was not that old and I was afraid I was looking at a very young death.
I was taking a lot of medicine but I was so sick I wasn’t absorbing my medicine. And Dr. Neil saw that right away and made a few adjustments and then changed the way I eat my food with Dr. Mark.
My big book of labs that I’ve been keeping for the last two years, I haven’t been making any entries because my labs are normal.
I can get out and move. I don’t hurt. My joints don’t hurt. I can run in the park with my little boy. I can read a book, turn the page and I can remember what I read on the page before. I can remember my phone number and my social security number.
I’m a normal person again. And, as a bonus, I’ve lost 42 pounds.
