Well, it started out around my birthday last year in March, and I actually weighed 235.
My mom had just gotten into it, and so she was like “I just talked to this nutritionist guy he’s pretty great, and I think he is really onto something.”
So, mom needed an accountability partner, and we’ve always been real close. I was homeschooled as a kid, so we’ve always done things together and I was like, well, sure I’ll do it.
So that is where I started with the Drs. We went and met Mark for the first time.
We’d actually seen him years ago at one of his power team things, so I kind of knew who he was, but had never really met him in person.
He is very relational, he told me it was going to be a life change. It was going to be tough, but we are going to work together.
So he gave me my meal plan and explained to me what all I needed to do. Today I’m at hovering about 180. So I’ve lost 55 pounds.
I had posted a picture of my progress, because none of my clothes were fitting. I was going through my closet and I found this pair of pants and I took a picture of it because there was a gap.
I was like, “how come no one told me I was fat?” That was kind of my defining moment. Like “wow I’m glad I did this now instead of years down the road.”
I never really realized how much food really effects so many things. A lot of people think you can just take a pill for whatever.
I used to have sciatic problems and very severe allergies, and now I don’t have hardly any of that. I was amazed at how fast it really does come off when it is just little changes here and there.
You know, it doesn’t happen all at once, but once you start going it’s pretty hard to stop.
